A 9-Meals-in-a-Day Food Trip!

WARNING: LONGGGGG POST AHEAD!

Yes, 9 meals in a day! Actually, 10 because we had bah kut teh in Klang for breakfast. Had a food trip to Melaka with the besties back in January and I wanted to blog about it after the trip. But I did what I'm best at, procrastinate. Hoorayyyyy!! Anyway, better late than never!

Meal 1

While queuing up for our first meal!

Surprisingly the crowd in Melaka was pretty small when we went. So we only waited for about 15 minutes for our chicken rice balls!!

The chicken and the rice balls

There's only one type of chicken in this restaurant - bak cham kai (white chicken loldirecttranslationlol). Chicken meat was good and so were the rice balls.

Meal 2

We expected a big crowd lining up but it was pretty empty on that day.

The five of us shared 2 cakes only because we wanted to save our stomach for other great stuff!

Original Mille Crepe Cake

Praline Mille Crepe Cake

The cakes were really great! If you're a sweet tooth, you'll definitely enjoy this! But if you're craving for mille crepe cakes while you're in the Klang Valley, you can try Arthur's Hokkaido Mille Crepe Cakes as well in Pavilion KL. And yes, I shall add this to my baking list too!

Address:
Nadeje Patisserie
Lot UB051, 052 & 053,
Dataran Pahlawan Melaka,

Meal 3

Our next stop!

Durian cendol and normal cendol. Great thirst quenchers on a hot and sunny day!

And I love the interiors as well!

And guess who I saw in Jonker 88? EDWARD CULLEN LOL!

Address:
Jonker Dessert 88

Meal 4

DURIAN PUFFSSSSSSS!!!!

It might be a little costly but it's definitely worth it if you're an avid durian eater. For those who dislikes durian, you have to try this too! Who knows you might love durian because of these puffs!

Address:
Taste Better Durian Puff

75200 Melaka
GPS: 2.197035,102.246354

Meal 5

Our next stop, pork lard popiah. I forgotten to take a picture of the popiah though. The popiah was big with lotsa fillings  and pork lard inside. This stall is located in Newton Hawker Centre - not far from the Menara Taming Sari and Dataran Pahlawan.

Address: (I'm not sure about this, just a rough guess)
Popiah @ Newton Hawker Centre
Jalan Pm 2, Plaza Mahkota
75000 Melaka
GPS: 2.190249,102.247956

Meal 6

Pork satay or sate babi at Sun May Hiong

Pineapple satay sauce. I don't really like it. Doesn't go well with the satay.

Nothing special about this pork satay! Those usual chicken satays are better than this. Try it only if you're really desperate for it. Otherwise, just go for some other meals instead.

Address:
Sun May Hiong Pork Satay
50/50A, Jalan Kota Laksamana,
Taman Kota Laksamana
75200 Melaka

Meal 7

 Klebang original coconut shake!

Coconut shake special (with ice-cream) is only RM 2.30 per cup! I'm not a coconut person but this drink is pretty good. Very refreshing!

Address:
Klebang Original Coconut Shake
Jalan Klebang Besar (it's nearby Caltex)
GPS: 2.215371,102.206152

Meal 8

Calanthe Art Cafe - the cafe that serves Malaysia's 13 states' coffees. We had a hard time finding this place because we googled the place and the website brought us to Dataran Pahlawan. When we got there, we wasted our time finding for it because they have shifted to Jalan Hang Kasturi.

Lots of artsy stuff in this place. The deco is nice but lots of mosquitoes though due to the dark and gloomy environment.

Some of the drinks that we tried: Negeri Sembilan coffee, green tea coffee and Melaka coffee. I don't really fancy the green tea coffee. As for the other coffees, well, they taste pretty much the same to me. And I still prefer Pak Li's Ipoh White Coffee! :D I would love to try their food though cause they looked pretty good!

Address:
Calanthe Art Cafe

75200 Melaka
GPS: 2.19543,102.247175

Meal 9

YES! Finally the last meal. This blog post is so tiring!

We ended our food trip with satay celup. Nothing special to me but with good company, the meal can be really enjoying :)

And yes, they'll reuse the sauce. Whoever who got to taste my saliva, lucky you! :)

Address:
Restoran Ban Lee Siang
